As a child did you ever want to be a pilot?
In this site I intend to give budding pilots the dubious benefit of my experience as an amateur pilot of both light aircraft and gliders spanning 27 years. The idea is to show that almost anyone can learn to fly. Although having a bit of money obviously helps, you don't have to be wealthy if you are determined enough.

Rather than be overwhelmed by the tales of some ace pilot who has flown everything from a hang-glider to Concorde, my more modest efforts should show that ordinary people can also just potter around in the air.

The main purpose is to give information about flying light aircraft as a private pilot, and flying gliders, but I've tried to cover the other aspects too via 'checklists' and links.
